Join the Old School Baptist ‘Podcast’ Network

I have toyed with the idea of creating an exclusively Primitive Baptist podcast (online radio) network for awhile now. I have been given the proper motivation now to pursue the idea further.

Here’s how it would work. Anyone interested in hosting their own podcast (prerecorded or live) would join. I will help them to set up their own show on BlogTalkRadio (if they need the help) which provides a great podcasting service for free. They also give hosts the capability of doing a live show with live callers even.

Next, we will work out a schedule for your show. It could be a weekly program, daily, or even more than once a day. For instance, my show runs at 11 AM ET, Monday through Friday. Elder Michael Green has a show on Sunday evenings at 6 PM ET. We will try to schedule shows so that they do not conflict with one another. So, the 11 AM hour would be taken on weekdays as well as the 6 PM hour on Sundays. Ideally, we would create a network or channel that is entirely hosted by Primitive Baptist ministers and church members with a variety of shows on at all hours of the day.

Your podcast would be your podcast. You name it. You run it (unless you need help on that end which I can provide). You choose the content. Brother Green’s show is a combination of Bible doctrine mingled with relevant current events. On my show, I have spent entire episodes on Bible doctrine, but for the most part I discuss American history and today’s politics. Your show could be devoted to Bible doctrine, church issues, family matters, cooking, gardening, politics, history, hobbies, music or whatever suits you. You can prerecord each episode if you have the equipment to do so or you could use a phone (land line or Skype works best) to perform the show live.

As I said, I can help with setting up the show and even running it if your show time works with my schedule. I can create a logo for your show as well. I have done this for several programs across BlogTalkRadio. I can also help with creating music and editing sound files.

Over the next week, I will work on creating a calendar and an OSBN “Show Page” for the network of podcasts. Until then, please contact me if you would be interested in having your own show. Also, please send this invitation to anyone you believe might be interested.

I am curious as to how this sect of Old Baptists believe. I have believed the beautiful doctrine of Primitive Baptist and was raised as one. I have come to find out that there is dissention though.. Some PB's believe all God's children will hear the Gospel and will be obedient to His word on earth, then there are those that do not believe this. All His children may not believe while living on this earth. Regardless, I think we all believe that His children do have eternal salvation and it is not by anything we do or have done. I am also curious if this group teaches the difference in the kingdom of God and eternal heaven?

I do not believe that every child of God will hear the gospel nor do I believe it is necessary for their eternal salvation. As for the kingdom of God, I believe that kingdom is entered into by the child of God in the new birth during this life. Jesus said, "Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God." But I also believe that same child may not walk the way he/she was called to walk, yet this cannot ultimately hinder his/her eternal salvation.

I cannot speak for every minister listed on this site, but I suppose most here would agree me.

Amen Brother! The kingdom of God is within us. It is our fellowship with God while we live on this earth. If we are being disobedient, we cannot enter into His kingdom here. I go in and out of it continously. When I was finally taught how to differentiate between the kingdom of heaven or God and eternal heaven that the Bible speaks of, all the things that had always seemed to contradict went completely away!!! It all makes perfect sense. BUT try explaining that to a S Baptist, Methodist or actually any other doctrine, they just can't see it. It is like a stumbling block to them.
Maybe you can answer this. We believe that we have the truth, why doesn't God open the eyes of the overwhelming majority that believe that God gives us a choice as to whether or not to be saved to eternal heaven. This really baffles me. Is it they don't want to give up the power to God? What do you think? Also as far as what Jesus said to Nicodemus, He was telling Nicodemus what God must do, but everyone else seems to interpret that scripture as what man must do. Vicki

Hi, I am Elder Don Lloyd (retired) I am Vicki's Dad.. She has bloomed into a full fledged believer according to the Primitive Baptist faith. (I did not know that she was listening to me, or other Pastors until she joined Grace Church in Thomaston,Ga. just a few years ago. I had the exceptional privilege of assisting in her baptism along with her husband Mike. I. have wondered about Bellflower Church often since my former Pastor, Elder Cleon Radford went there as Pastor while I was at the Church in Auguste, Ga. It is good to know that the Church is still prospering under your Pastorate. God bless you and you family as you serve Him in His Kinfdom.
