The apostle Paul wrote, Brethren, pray for us. We should pray for one another. We should turn to the Lord in prayer when we know of those who are sick and afflicted, those who face troubles in life, those churches in need of a pastor, and the list could go on. Prayer is designed to glorify God by, in part, confessing our dependence on Him. Prayer is sometimes equated to positive thinking but this is quite misleading. The basic principle of prayer in scripture is that God will grant our requests when we ask in faith if it is according to His will. Faith in prayer means believing that God is able to answer our prayer if He is pleased to do so.

Submit your prayer requests on behalf of yourself or others. They can be submitted anoymously if you wish. They will then be automatically emailed to everyone who has subscribed to the prayer chain mailing list. We encourage you to read these emails and, of course, pray for those mentioned.

My son is close to Iraq and so is his wife. They have never been deployed at the same time before. They have 4 kids and they are with grandparents in Cheyenne, Wyoming. He has been a nervous wreck since he arrived there. They put him on anti-depressants, sleeping pills and he has lost 37 lbs and started smoking. He has rededicated his life to CHRIST. Every day he says "Mom I feel like I am having a nervous breakdown. Today he received an email from his wife that says she would like to talk about divorce when they get home in Oct. Think of what that has done to him. Please interceed on his behalf. He is just devastated. Really more than I can tell you. Thanks for praying. Blessings, Deb

I am asking prayers for a family in a car accident early this morning. A lady that I work with and her two school age children were on the way to school when the accident occurred. The mother was released, however, one child is having surgery to remove a foreign object that was impaled into his shoulder. The other is in critical condition with brain swelling, ruptured speen, punctured kidney, and displaced pelvic bones. Please keep this family in your prayers during this time of need.

Dear All,
Elder Glenn Payne update: Bro Estes Jackson just talked with Elder Bobby Payne. The doctors have removed the ventilator from Bro. Glenn. Bro. Bobby and family are in the room as it is being removed. It is just a matter of time for Bro. Glenn. He was a wonderful man, dedicated pastor, and dedicated to the cause of Christ. Please keep them in your prayers.

I'm having a major issue with my attendance at work. I've always struggled with being late all throughout my life. All the way back to elementary school. Surprisingly, I've never felt a need to pray about it. I've now come to the point where I need God's help. I just can't seem to get in on time. It's getting to the point where they may find someone else for my position. I really like this job and the people I work with. It would break my heart if I lost this job. I know I can count on God to help me get through this bad habit, but I do need others to pray for me. This is such a major issue for me in life. I know I can get through it. Please pray for me.

Nathan Ferrell (2 month old son of Jay and Amber Ferrell)- The neurologists think he may have a genetic degenerative nerve disorder, and there is no cure. Or it may be a form of muscular dystrophy. They have ordered a full genetic workup and are waiting results to confirm the doctors diagnosis.

Please be in much prayer for this family!

I have a son. He's thirty-three years old. He was just released from prison (his 2nd stint) in December. He has a serious crack/meth addiction. He's been clean until the past few weeks. He's disappearing. He's gone through SO MUCH money that he had saved while he as in the sytem.

I KNOW he's back out using. I DON'T know what to do to help him. He's had this addiction/addictive behaviors for many, many years. Just as his Dad, his older brother (committed suicide), his younger brother. They are all addicts.

Bottom line? I love these addicts and, once again, I am standing here, wringing my hands, wanting to do SOMEthing to thwart this downward spiral but haven't a clue how to reach my son. I don't think I can bear to have him locked up again.

My Lord has kept me sane through all these trials and tribulations. I have had soaring mountaintops, despite the problems my children have experienced as a result of their drug usage. I have had lows that God has pulled me from and set my feet back on the path.

This afternoon, I am begging you to go to your knees. Ask for God's mercy on this young man. He's a sweet man. He's a sick man. Please pray for his safety. Pray that God will use whatever measure to save my son from himself.

In Christ,

Dianne Parker

Dear friends,

Elder Trautner came through his [hernia] surgery just fine. According to the surgeon, there were no complications. All went according to plan. We are so thankful for the Lord's mercy and want to continue to pray for a speedy and relatively easy recovery. He will probably be in the hospital (St Joseph) until Friday, if all goes well.

God bless,
Mike

I've just returned from Angier Church in Angier, North Carolina and they have asked for prayers since they are without a pastor now. I've also preached recently at Mt. Olive (Roanoke, VA) and regularly at Fort Wayne (Fort Wayne, IN), both without pastors. Please pray for them.
